SKATEBOARDERS’ CODE OF CONDUCT AND PARK ETIQUETTE

• No snaking (cutting in front of people).
• Take turns and expect other to do the same.
• Be confident, not aggressive, and be polite.
• Be respectful at all times.
• Skate with equipment and do tricks you know. Build up to new tricks and equipment slowly.
• If you fall and can move comfortably, move out of the way of other skaters. If not , wait or ask for help immediately of staff on site.
• Seek care immediately if you are hurt.
• Wear a protective helmet and wear it properly.
• Call ‘Board’ if you lose control of your skateboard to warn others.

SKATING OBSTACLES

• Observe the skate park obstacles, and watch experienced riders to determine the proper use of each obstacle.
• Wait until the obstacle is not in use before attempting to use it. Failure to do so could result in a collision with others.
• Wait until the other users have completed one run before you use any of the obstacles.
• When you run is over, move off the course as quickly as possible and prepare for your next run.
• Only one run is allowed per turn. (A run constitutes the use by a rider of any given obstacle or combination of obstacles until the rider comes to a complete stop and has obviously finished riding. For example, when a skateboarder jumps off their skateboard, the run is over.)
