GAMES AND DRILLS FOR CREATIVE LESSON PLANNING
An important part of the delivery of skateboarding lessons is having fun! We have provided a template for the design of new games, and have dedicated a section of this manual to providing some great ideas for games and fun-filled activities to help you deliver creative sessions to your students

We have also provided a well-rounded selection of drills to teach every aspect of the SKATZ@ Program, from Stance to Zen.

PROPER WARM-UP. STRETCHING AND COOL-DOWN TECHNIQUE

The International Skateboard Certification Program’ (ISCP) advocates using correct warm-up, stretching and cool-down techniques in order to avoid any potential of injury while skateboarding. A simple and straightforward stretching regimen geared for children and youth to effectively warm up in advance of skateboarding and to cool down afterwards is included in the Appendix,

LIFESTYLE RESOURCES

The International Skateboard Certification Program@ (ISCP) advocates that instructors and students have an opportunity to learn about the benefits of making healthy lifestyle choices. As such, we have included some of information about this topic.

These materials will support instructors in educating their students in fun ways and in accordance with general principles of wellness, health and well-being. There are tons of fun worksheets, word searches, colouring pages and activity sheets that can be photocopied and handed out to students in your classes. These resources are age- and developmentally appropriate and geared to children and youth.

HISTORY AND CULTURE OF SKATEBOARDING

This resource material is terrific, and gives a very good overview of the history and culture of skateboarding There are links to other informational sites and a great booklist for further reading. We encourage you to share this information with your students. See under resources on ISCP@ & SKATZ@) website www.iscpskatz.com.
